I am intrigued by the fact that recently, both my meditation instructors and my shamanism program teacher advised us students to engage in a daily spiritual routine.

Transformation in life seldom happens suddenly; typically, the accomplishments and improvements that materialize are the outcome of numerous small actions. I've committed to a small daily task, recognizing that consistency is critical to long-term success rather than attempting to achieve everything simultaneously.

Previously, I have discussed my efforts to integrate healthy habits into my daily routine. My day begins with a ginger shot and a sun salutation, a technique I picked up from my meditation instructors. This practice entails harnessing energy from the sun, even in dim conditions. Throughout the day, I engage in a Spanish review session on Duolingo, meditate for 15-20 minutes, read a chapter of a book and at home, we endeavour to establish a habit of taking a brief walk before or after dinner.

Everyday life consists of ordinary days that, while not particularly noteworthy individually, contribute to reaching your goals gradually by establishing daily habits. Even when feeling lazy, I prioritize what is essential: meditation, physical activity, and mental well-being. Whether it takes a month to finish a book or I don't exercise much, it doesn't matter; the key is consistently doing something small daily.

The same applies to spiritual practice; it is unnecessary to meditate for ten hours daily. However, engaging in some form of practice daily is crucial, regardless of how brief.

There are numerous methods to incorporate spiritual practices into your daily routine, including setting daily intentions, meditating, expressing gratitude, focusing on your breath, staying hydrated, spending time in nature, exercising, engaging in activities that bring joy, such as laughter, singing, reading, or listening to music, maintaining a clean and pleasant environment, practising kindness towards others, avoiding judgment, embracing silence, and practising the art of letting go.

It has only been a short time since I began approaching things this way, focusing on doing less instead of more. This approach has significantly improved my performance in these tasks recently, and I am pleased with the results.

Not being consistent with my good habits daily has made me feel inefficient and brought me down. Good habits are particularly beneficial during challenging times, as they provide a sense of progress and achievement, helping to stay positive despite the difficulties.
