Reflecting on my experiences from last year, I had the opportunity to discover different fascinating locations. This fall, I had the chance to meet Fjóla Jensdóttir, a specialist in Vedic wisdom and Ayurveda, the traditional Indian practice.

Prior to this, my knowledge of Ayurveda was limited to it being an Indian science that categorized individuals into three types, impacting their recommended lifestyle and diet. I was particularly astonished by the simplicity of these teachings, which exceeded my expectations.

The wisdom that intrigued me revolves around the concept of balance, drawing connections to nature and the belief that everything has its rightful place and timing. It emphasizes the continuity of life and discourages frantic rushing to achieve all perceived goals within the shortest time possible.

Instead, we should give ourselves permission to embrace silence and respond with composure, as it is a viable option. Establishing a routine and sticking to it can often be sufficient to release the anxiety and stress that many of us consider to be a typical aspect of our daily lives.

Fjóla combines her guidance on health and nutrition with Indian astrology, which predates Western astrology. The insights she shared about my past resonated strongly with me, so it will be intriguing to see if the same holds true for the future.

It is true that I have not managed to adjust my diet as per Fjóla's recommendation, at least not at this point. However, our encounter has sparked thoughts in my mind about the type of lifestyle I aim to create. Society frequently bombards us with messages emphasizing the need to accomplish numerous tasks quickly in order to validate ourselves and gain approval from those around us.

Nevertheless, we are not obligated to adhere to it. It is perfectly fine to ease the requirements and savour life in moderation.
